The months-long audit independently evaluated and confirmed that our security & risk mitigation measures meet the highest industry standards.

Visual One Intelligence™ (Visual One) has successfully completed a security operations center (SOC) 2 Type II audit, independently verifying our compliance with the industry-leading security standards defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The 38-page audit, performed by certified public accounting firm Barnes Dennig over a nine-month period spanning 2023-2024, affirms that Visual One meets the rigorous risk mitigation and security standards required for SOC 2 Type II status.

Unlike a SOC 2 Type I report – which focuses on how security policies are designed – the SOC 2 Type II audit evaluates both the design and the actual implementation and operation of security practices.

“This independently proves that we operate within the industry’s highest standards of compliance,” said Phil Godwin, President & COO of Visual One Intelligence™.

As a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider to mid-size and enterprise organizations (including financial and healthcare services), Visual One is held to an extraordinary standard for client security. In 2023 alone, the average cost of a data breach was $4.45 million (according to IBM and the Ponemon Institute), and the fifth most expensive cause of data breaches was “vulnerabilities in third-party software.”

Security & Privacy are Paramount at Visual One

A SOC 2 Type II report is the culmination of extensive prioritization of security-enhancing policies and practices. At Visual One, that includes regular penetration testing, security vulnerability scans, code security scans, and additional safeguard testing.

Additionally, data at Visual One is restricted from access by non-authorized personnel. All data access is logged and monitored.

The Visual One platform uses passwordless authentication and can support Single-Sign On (SSO) if required.

When it comes to personal data privacy, Visual One is not intended to store personal data. However, incidental personal data (such as is needed for user authentication and customer support) is handled in full compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

As president & COO Phil Godwin says, “It’s all about trust.”

“Our clients trust us with their data – their heart and soul – and we are committed to keeping that trust.”

Visual One Intelligence™ surfaces interpretive insights and actionable recommendations in hybrid-platform IT infrastructure environments that identify and prevent risks, understand and remediate existing problems, enhance operational efficiency, and optimize asset ROI. By consolidating independent data elements into unified metrics, Visual One’s platform correlates and interprets hybrid infrastructure data in order to illuminate cost-saving and operations-sustaining details that otherwise stay hidden.
