FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Certification validates the platform's alignment to the FinOps Framework across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises infrastructure
DALLAS, Texas, August 31, 2026. Visual One Intelligence®, the Hybrid FinOps™ and IT Operations Management platform, today announced recognition as a FinOps Certified Platform by the FinOps Foundation, the Linux Foundation organization that maintains the FinOps Framework and the FOCUS specification.
The certification is awarded only to FinOps Foundation member organizations whose software demonstrates measurable, publicly verifiable alignment to the FinOps Framework Capabilities. Qualifying platforms must reach a 90 percent threshold across weighted capability criteria, submit a recorded product demonstration as evidence, and maintain a required number of FinOps Certified Practitioners, FinOps Certified Professionals, and FinOps Certified FOCUS Analysts on staff.
For IT and finance leaders evaluating FinOps tooling, the recognition addresses a gap that has become harder to ignore. Most enterprises do not run entirely in the public cloud. They run workloads across hyperscalers, private cloud, colocation, and on-premises storage and compute. FinOps platforms built exclusively for public cloud can only report on part of that picture, which leaves teams relying on manual reconciliation to answer basic questions about where technology spend is actually going.
"IT leaders come to us with detailed cloud cost reporting and no way to connect it to the rest of their infrastructure. They are making placement and budget decisions on half a picture, and they know it." said Phil Godwin, President and Chief Operating Officer of Visual One Intelligence®. "We built this platform for the environment our customers actually operate, not the one that is easiest to instrument. This certification confirms that hybrid coverage and FinOps rigor are not a trade-off. You can have both."
Visual One Intelligence® was evaluated across the full set of FinOps Framework capability domains, including data ingestion, cost allocation, reporting and analytics, anomaly management, forecasting, budgeting, unit economics, rate and usage optimization, governance, and invoicing and chargeback. The platform also qualified under the Foundation's supplemental criteria for extending FinOps practice beyond public cloud and for its support of FOCUS, the open specification that normalizes cost and usage data across vendors.
"FOCUS support and framework alignment are not checkbox exercises for us, they are how the product gets built," said Jeff Symons, Senior Vice President of Product at Visual One Intelligence®. “When on-premises capacity and cloud consumption resolve to the same FOCUS-conformant schema, a customer can query billed cost, effective cost, and amortized commitment spend across the entire estate using one set of dimensions. Allocation stops depending on which team exported which report.”
Visual One Intelligence® appears in the FinOps Foundation member directory and the FinOps Landscape.

What is a FinOps Certified Platform?
FinOps Certified Platform is a designation the FinOps Foundation awards to member organizations whose commercial software demonstrates verifiable alignment with the FinOps Framework Capabilities. Platforms are scored on weighted, publicly referenceable criteria, must reach a 90 percent threshold of total possible points, and must submit a recorded product demonstration as evidence.
What did Visual One Intelligence® demonstrate to earn the certification?
Visual One was evaluated across the full set of FinOps Framework capability domains, from data ingestion and cost allocation through forecasting, unit economics, and chargeback, and qualified under the Foundation's supplemental criteria for extending FinOps practice beyond public cloud and for FOCUS support. The team behind the platform holds 6 FinOps Certified Practitioner, 2 FinOps Certified Professional, 3 FOCUS Analyst, and 1 FinOps for AI certifications.
Where can the certification be verified?
Membership, platform certification, and individual credentials are listed on the Visual One Intelligence® member profile at the FinOps Foundation, and the platform appears on the FinOps Landscape filtered to certified platforms and FOCUS adopters.
Does the certification change anything for Visual One customers?
No. The certification carries no fee or product change for customers. It adds an external, criteria-based validation that the platform's capabilities align with the FinOps Framework as the Foundation defines it, across cloud and on-premises infrastructure alike.
